PART 1. COFFEE and PHARMACY
We went and introduced ourselves to Jacquie from Miriam Vale pharmacy. Both her and her husband are pharmacists. They own and operate the pharmacy together. She told me they had previously worked at a major metropolitan hospital, but looking for a change they came to Miriam Vale and set up a new pharmacy. They have found it very rewarding.
A quick scan around this small pharmacy tells me that Webster packs are just $2/week. Pretty good. Jacquie tells me they have a lot of older customers (some 90 years +) that they cater to. The script trade is small and there isn't a permanent GP in town. It's also hard to come by a locum pharmacist & she asked if id be around to locum for her later in the year! Not sure if we'll head back this way but if we do I'd be happy to help.
PART 2. CHRISTMAS At AGNES WATERS
Christmas time was spent at Agnes Waters in an amazing holiday house. How did we get so lucky you ask? Well we were fortunate enough to be asked (ok we begged...) to spend Christmas with Zane's sister Gabrielle, her bf Michael and his family. Zane's parents also joined us. So we enjoyed 3 amazing days in Agnes Waters and 1770. Plenty of beach time, including stand up paddle boarding and kayaking. Great food and company. For anyone who hasn't been here, it is well worth the visit.
We were sad to leave but our next move to Bargara Beach was almost as good. The ocean there was beautiful! We also enjoyed some amazing Thai food. After 2 nights there we hit the road at 5am and headed to Brisbane where we will stay until the new year.
I hope you all had a great Christmas. Have a fun new year & all the best for 2015!
